About Us

Join our growing team! At Food for Thought, we believe in creating a space where both clients and clinicians feel supported, connected, and empowered. Founded by Lauren Sweezey and Brittany Bacarella—Licensed Mental Health Counselors with extensive experience in residential and outpatient eating disorder treatment—our practice is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and a commitment to evidence-based care.

We specialize in supporting individuals and families affected by eating disorders, offering a range of services including individual therapy, family therapy, meal support, and nutrition counseling. As a fully virtual group practice serving clients across New York, we prioritize flexibility, clinical integrity, and authentic therapeutic relationships.

Our team culture is warm, collaborative, and mission-driven. Whether you’re a limited permit therapist looking to grow under experienced supervision, or a fully licensed clinician seeking community and autonomy, Food for Thought offers a place where you can do meaningful work—and be meaningfully supported in return.
